I have come to the party late. Today I was baptized by the vocal giants of last century. Admittedly, tenors are the ultimate database of great singers and command performances through the ages. Sopranos, not so much. I listened and laughed while London, Del Monaco, Tebaldi annihilated act 2 of Tosca. Their prowess isn’t human. As with profanity in music, there should be a warning on this recording. Do not listen to Act 2 while operating a motor vehicle.
