Today I remember the depraved human violence of 22 years ago. So much violence came before 9.11.01 and despite that day’s urgent call to unite, so much violence continues to infect our world. Our lives are not guaranteed and our authentic selves will not always be accepted. For these reasons alone, I call out into the universe a disparate way of living. May we continue to build a collective inner confidence where our acceptance of each other is based in shared humanity.
