Today Giovanni and I did a piece that I’ve been singing since undergraduate. I fell in love with Kiri Te Kanawa singing Laudate Dominum from Mozart’s solemn vespers on the royal wedding sacred album.
This is a deceptively tricky piece that requires long lifted lines and extended register blend prowess….I have continued to make strides over the years to the point that I don’t have to think of technique much anymore…..
Glad to have had a chance to make music on this piece tonight.
