MY BODY WORK
April 21, 2025-Present Day
Starting on Monday April 21st (Easter Monday) after a very long and physically tiring Holy Week, I have been doing modified intermittent fasting. I have been making a lot of progress. What pushed me over the edge was my numbers, lack of saiety, challenges standing without perspiring, and my swollen feet.
UPDATED ROUTINE:
- I record my food and weigh daily.
- I am generally eating at 12 12 window and sometimes longer between 16-8 window.
- I’m down 15 lbs.
- My pulse is down 12 points to 77.
- I’m getting sleep scores every night.
- I’ve been reaching for the carbs first in a meal much less.
- I sometimes feel panic at night but I so appreciate the food management agency I have with IF.
- I’m down a size.
- I go up and down the stairs easier and can do it 2 feet at a time.
- I’m sweating less.
- I realize that I haven’t felt agency with food since I was very young. I wasn’t given choice; assumptions were made, and the food modeling was a scarcity and binge mindset.
My continued realizations:
- Hunger can be a mean ole liar.
- Strange crap shows up when you don’t just eat mindlessly.
- Boredom and food don’t play in the sandbox nicely.
- I sleep and get out of bed better in the morning when I haven’t eaten in a while.
- I realize it’s been a long time since I have abstained from food for a period of time. I usually just vacillate between a grazing of overeating or restriction.
