3 Weeks Of A Habit

MY BODY WORK

April 21, 2025-Present Day

Starting on Monday April 21st (Easter Monday) after a very long and physically tiring Holy Week, I have been doing modified intermittent fasting. I have been making a lot of progress.  What pushed me over the edge was my numbers, lack of saiety, challenges standing without perspiring, and my swollen feet.

UPDATED ROUTINE:

  1. I record my food and weigh daily.
  2. I am generally eating at 12 12 window and sometimes longer between 16-8 window.
  3. I’m down 15 lbs.
  4. My pulse is down 12 points to 77.
  5. I’m getting sleep scores every night.
  6. I’ve been reaching for the carbs first in a meal much less.
  7. I sometimes feel panic at night but I so appreciate the food management agency I have with IF.
  8. I’m down a size.
  9. I go up and down the stairs easier and can do it 2 feet at a time.
  10. I’m sweating less.
  11. I realize that I haven’t felt agency with food since I was very young. I wasn’t given choice; assumptions were made, and the food modeling was a scarcity and binge mindset.

My continued realizations:

  1. Hunger can be a mean ole liar.
  2. Strange crap shows up when you don’t  just eat mindlessly.
  3. Boredom and food don’t play in the sandbox nicely.
  4. I sleep and get out of bed better in the morning when I haven’t eaten in a while.
  5. I realize it’s been a long time since I have abstained from food for a period of time. I usually just vacillate between a grazing of overeating or restriction.
