I have learned how to sing over the years out of urgent necessity and sheer will. The fear that came with having to cobble a technique from a recalcitrant dramatic voice that originated with a breathy middle voice and cracking passaggio definitely motivated me; hence my blog title “akintsucrooner” as Mary Anne Bruner knows ❤️🙏🏻. Following my varied music degrees, I have a bag full of tools from my own travels; triage ready for the vocal needs of singers of all levels. Teaching vocal master classes are a few of my favorite things. Last week I taught voice 101 so to speak for students ages 13–18 at Pied Piper Children’s Theatre.
