Singing Thru The Cracks

CRACK WHACK SERENADE
By E. Perryman 9.6.2025

Today’s voice lesson work with tenors and basses was a journey through crack which can be most definitely whack. We rotated forward/back and accessed pharyngeal space & breath flow with vocalises, challenging cantorial music, and musical theater rep perhaps not composed by a singer. Not gonna lie, as a reformed chapter 11 singer, I love the challenge of solving singing story problems with these folk…..

Shawn has 2 pushed open vowels. What lighter mechanism vowel should Shawn add and modify on an unvoiced consonant to move the breath as they navigate melodically localized C4-F4?
