OK, I’m on a WUTHERING HEIGHTS deep dive ever since I was WRECKED by Heathcliff Jacob and Catherine Margot. I’ve been taking in as many as I can find. Many have annoyed me with their campiness and haven’t held my attention. From the original with a 40 year old teenager Olivier in 1939 to the weird 1970s vampire version and even wuthering high on lmn , it’s been intriguing. Wish someone would find the lost 1920s silent version. Very cool that the Richard Burton version was found. So good for 1958. Thus far these 3 are the best imho based on acting, believability, intensity, poignance, and cinematic artistry. Maybe command performer Tom Hardy’s take is the best (and with Andrew Lincoln! He’s so good) Edit: Charlotte Riley is lovely but she is not Cathy.
