As previously shared, ever since I was wrecked by Jacob Elordi & Margot Robbie with their toxic and fiery turn as the ill fated Wuthering Heights Heathcliff & Cathy, I’ve been consuming all the versions I can find.
This has led me also to the musical and opera settings. I fell in love Herrmann’s “I have dreamt” when Cathy describes to Nelly that she dreamt she went to heaven but felt absolutely miserable. She cried so much that the angels threw her back down to earth. She woke up sobbing with joy to be back on earth at the moors near Wuthering Heights.

Our summer recital theme is music through the four elements. I am excited to add Cathy’s aria to the earth portion of the recital.
