As I shared with lovely friend Nerisca Kaufmann who kindly reached out: Gloria Gonzalez & Cheryl Cadime are role models for me. I never had a same sex couple role model growing up. It was life changing to witness and very inspiring. As recently as 2012, Gloria encouraged me to come out fully because of the energy wasted on hiding that takes away precious time. I didn’t know how to react at first because I was still afraid but I knew down deep she was right. My wife calls these moments a God nod. I don’t believe it was an accident that she would deliver this important message. I am now more authentically myself because of her thoughtfulness. With all of the ups and downs of living my truth, I wouldn’t change it for the world. #angelsamongstus
