My dear father in law Frank Honer had been heroically living with pulmonary fibrosis for a decade. We spent precious time with him and family over break. Eliz was able to visit him this week. She told him what a great Dad he was and how lucky she was to be his daughter to which he lovingly reacted in his end of life state. We believe he waited for her as he died peacefully later Monday evening. I feel so lucky to be Frank’s daughter in law. He always made me feel like family. I played his favorite Beatles’ songs over the holidays. He brighened up and mouthed the lyrics. I never knew if I’d get to be married but boy did I win the lottery with the Elizabeth Honer family.

Voice Lesson

Breath contact, mouth oval, free tongue, oh my. Great work by conscientious Lorinda Walker at her voice lesson today as she prepares her lovely muse for February recital. Progress not perfection is indeed the ticket to ride. #voiceteacher #pedagogy

Kurt Reiman “Glimpse Of Grace”

I came across the lovely piece “glimpse of grace” by @kurtreimanmusic on XM spa not too long ago. I was moved by its spirit and expression. I saw that the artist lived in Glen Rock, NJ where I used to teach and where I sing occasionally. I sent an email expressing my appreciation and connection with Glen Rock. This Christmas Eve Kurt introduced himself to me (remembering me from my email) as we were putting on choir robes and singing in the same choir. So cool to meet him. The music world is a small one indeed.
